Pure Grass Films and The Salt Company today announced a partnership on action movie Twist with leading producer Red Bull Media House – a global media company based in Austria that produces and distributes compelling sports, culture and lifestyle programming across multiple platforms.
Twist is an action packed 3D retelling of Oliver Twist set in the present day, where Fagin’s gang use Parkour to commit a series of audacious art thefts. Developed by Pure Grass Films and The Salt Company, from an original idea by The Brothers Lynch and Simon Thomas, Twist will be shot in the UK and in Continental Europe.

Twist will be produced by Sophokles Tasioulis for the Red Bull Media House, Ben Grass for Pure Grass Films and Piers Tempest for Salt. In addition to the feature film, Twist will also include a variety of multi-platform elements such as an online prequel, and apps and games. Twist will start pre-production in January 2013.

Christophe Charlier and John Forte’s Le Castle Film Works will receive a Co-producer credit on Twist.
