Sunshine Superman tells the story of Carl Boenish who pioneered and popularised the activity of BASE jumping in the 70s and 80s. Director Strauch uses exclusive archival 16mm footage, shot by Boenish himself, as well as well-crafted dramatic re-enactments to capture his record-breaking story. The film follows Boenish, together with wife Jean, on their journey to jump from the world’s tallest fixed object – the Norwegian cliffs of Trollveggen. Through their love story, we discover what it really feels like to fall.
