Salt launches The Vipers Nest 2 – find out more here
Salt want to champion filmmakers who are intent on making commercial films. In the UK industry it often seems that commercial is a dirty word.
So in october 2010 we created the Vipers Nest, a creative collective of 13 hand-picked, first-time british and irish directors, writers and producers, all of whom have an extremely impressive body of work in TV, commercials, shorts or music videos. in october 2011, with the group still going strong, the vipers reopened the group and themselves enlisted 3 new writers.
Over the last year Salt has provided encouragement, experience and a forum in which The Vipers have collaborated creatively and practically as well as explored every aspect of the filmmaking process thanks to the multitude of leading lights from the UK film industry, who, over a glass of wine at monthly evening get-togethers, have provided warmly received insights and advice.
By empowering The Vipers, we hope that connections will continue to be forged and quality commercial films made.
