Jacqueline Wright is a director and writer, working in film, theatre and television. Her fruitful long-term collaboration with comedy star Alice Lowe (Sightseers) has resulted in Wright directing 19 shorts and a TX pilot, LifeSpam, for BBC3. Wright and Lowe made a short film each month in 2010 as part of the Jackal Films project. This January they were asked to take part in an ‘in conversation’ event at BAFTA, with a Q&A hosted by Clare Stewart. Their two Straight8 films, Sticks & Balls and Stiffy, have screened at Cannes, Cannes Lions, Slamdance and festivals worldwide. Non-Jackal work includes directing award-winning music videos, commercials, and short films, most recently Mute, based on a story by Stephen King. She is currently writing two feature scripts, a Satanic horror-comedy and a black comedy about a werewolf.
