After an attempt at producing almost resulted in the death of Lionel Blair, John decided to concentrate his efforts on writing and editing. Since then he has collaborated on feature scripts, short films, promos and adverts.
For the past five years, he has worked in a creative partnership with Will Clark. Together they have written and developed, period, horror-comedy, Pride and Predator with Rocket Pictures. They have several other feature scripts in development both in the UK and the US.
“We tend to write commercially minded comedies that are very genre centric – so horror comedies, period-horror comedies, sci-fi comedies would be our metier”. Between them they wrote, directed and edited TCM short The Amazing Trousers. John also works as an editor of promos and adverts, for the likes of Channel 4 and VW.
John is represented by Ed Hughes of Linda Seifert Management and in the US, Jenny Wood of Elevate Entertainment.
