Valentina Brazzini

Before moving to London, Valentina lived in Italy where she studied film theory and production and worked as a programmer at Milan Film Festival . She joined The Bureau Film Company in 2006 firstly as a producer’s assistant, and gained a versatile filmmaking experience. She worked on the production of Asif Kapadia’s Far North and on the postproduction of Glue by Alexis Dos Santos. She was assistant producer on Alexis’ second film Unmade Beds, and produced shorts such as Save Our Bacon by Peter Baynton (EIFF, Brief Encounters), Random Strangers by Alexis Dos Santos (Sundance, SXSW ) and The Ringer by BAFTA nominated Chris Shepherd (in post-production).

Since 2010 she has been managing the development training program “Save Our Scripts”, through which she developed projects with a wide variety of emerging European writing talent.

Having refined her taste and editorial skills whilst working on SOS, Valentina went on to be selected in “Sources 2 Projects & Process – Training Mentors for European Screenwriters” in 2011 and by the “Rotterdam Producers’ Lab” in 2012.

In 2011 her interest in new talent also led her and Tristan Goligher to set up the short film scheme “Collabor8te” with Rankin Film Production. Valentina is a member of the selection and commissioning panel and is a script editor on the selected projects.
From 2013, in addition to directing SOS, Valentina has become Head of Development at The Bureau.
